One More Dream to Find

One more dream to find, one more dream to find

though our pride can make us blind to what we’re given –

May you find a way through the endless day.

There’s no heart too filled with pain to be forgiven.

If you don’t know who you’re meant to be,

how does the swallow find a way across the sea?

How does the spring know winter’s at an end?

Here’s the window – fly on through, my friend.

All these dreams entwine in your shining mind.

You can hold them in your hand, or you can give them.

Though your wakening and your wandering

may lead you far across the land, you’ll grow to live them.

If you don’t know who you’re meant to be,

how does the swallow find a way across the sea?

How does the spring know winter’s at an end?

Here’s the window – fly on through, my friend.

If I don’t know who I’m meant to be,

sun upon the snow, melt the ice in me.

If the tears flow, follow where they lead,

if I have to go, please forgive me.
